Whistleblower
¿Cómo expresarían en español la connotación positiva de "whistleblower"?

Tengo problemas con "chivato" o "soplón", porque (al menos en México), éstos siempre tienen la connotación negativa de alguien que vende información (por dinero o por prebendas individuales), sin ninguna buena intención, como puede ser el caso del "whistleblower".

¿Usarían "informante" o simplemente "el que alerta"? ¿Algo más apropiado?

¿Qué tal "denunciante"?

¿El que denuncia?
¿El que revela actos ilícitos?

Creo que "denunciante" es mejor que "informador" y mucho mejor que "delator" que tiene un pelín de connotación negativa de chivato, en jerga legal.

No querría usar informante, porque se confunde con la jerga policiaca. Y delator, definitivamente es igual que soplón o chivato.

Mientras denunciante no se confunda con algún término legal específico, creo que funcionará bien.

De nada...
(Creo que "denunciante" se usa mucho en contextos legales, pero su sentido es claro, "dentro y fuera de la ley"...)
