"Verse" used in impersonal expressions
"Desde aquí se ve el mar" "From here you can see the sea"
My question is, if the object is plural, does the verb change tense? "Desde aquí se ve los lagos" or "Desde aquí se ven los lagos" Thanks

If the object is plural, when using passive se, the verb is plural. It changes in number (not tense).
Desde aquí se ven los lagos. |

Of course, number, not tense. Thanks for your help.

"Los lagos" is the subject, that is because the verb changes its number
Se ve el lago. Se ven los lagos. Se venden pisos. Se vende un piso. These sentences are called "pasiva refleja" Look the following sentence: La panadera vende pan (activa, sujeto: la panadera) La panadera vende panes. El pan es vendido por la panadera (pasiva perifrástica, el pan:sujeto) Los panes son vendidos por la panadera (id., sujeto: panes) Se vende pan (pasiva refleja, sujeto: pan) Se venden panes (cambio del número del verbo; sujeto: panes) |

Por qué, no porque.

porque = as a result of the verb changing its number
