Question To shovel snow

How would I say this in Spanish? "to shovel snow" The Tomisimo dictionary says "sacar la nieve". Is this regional, or is it how this is said everywhere in the Spanish-speaking world?

In Spain "sacar la nieve". I think I've read "palear" somewhere, but it's not used here.

Yes - you've been watching the news, huh? Yup, "snowmageddon" is upon us. If you want to be jealous (and only if you're super bored!), I uploaded some short videos to Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/user/laepelba#g/u

I also have a picture of me in the midst of shoveling. I (think I) attached it to this post.....
