Literalmente, "to face" puede traducirse como "encarar", "afrontar" o "enfrentar". Y, en este contexto, ambos verbos valdrían al igual que "enfrentar". Según mi modo de verlo, "enfrentar" se refiere a una cuestión más física y agresiva; mientras que "afrontar", a un reto no relacionado con la fuerza. Por último, "encarar" es una mezcla de los dos: por una parte puede significar "enfrentarse a una persona o animal" y, por otra, hacer referencia a un mero asunto diplomático.
