A nagging question

I've often heard people say agua hervida for boiling water. Is this correct? or should it be agua hirviendo? Thanks guys.

Re: A nagging question

It's frequent that a English gerund becomes a Spanish participle, but in this case I agree with you as "agua hervida" can be cold and still be "agua hervida".

Re: A nagging question
