Yo diría.
No soy el tipo de persona que va coger un libro y pasar mucho tiempo leyendo. Y lo que Julvenzor puso yo lo escribiría así: No soy el tipo de persona que coja un libro y (se) pase mucho tiempo leyendo. Pero el sabe de gramática y yo no. Así que veamos que pasa.

...Y el que escribió Chileno, yo lo escribiría "... que vaya a coger/agarrar un libro..."
However, I wouldn't object "...que coge un libro y pasa horas leyendo"; I guess the present tense makes the statement that this is opposed to what I actually usually do, while the subjunctive expresses the idea that it's something I wouldn't do.
