¿Cómo we dice...?
"If it's to be my friend she wants, she's going about it the wrong way." (because what she's doing is actually annoying me) "Si lo que quiere es hacer amigas conmigo, lo esta haciendo mal." ¿Como se dice "To go about something the wrong way."? |

Your solution is fine.
"Hacer algo mal" is correct. But I would rather say something like: "si lo que quiere es ser mi amiga", "si lo que quiere es que seamos amigas"...
