Stupid por / para. I going to just always insert the phrase ", como se dice, 'for?'," instead. Sure, it's longer, but perhaps I'll sound like one of those suave Europeans they always give that cliché dialog to in movies.

I have a commentary about your post Fazor, the word Lomo is used only for describe animals and it's no used for the person. In your case you can figure the word Espalda at Spanish. I hope you can understand me. But now I will do a bit corrections in your post.

Ayer trabaje en mi patio y hoy tengo un dolor en la espalda. Pero aun tengo mas cosas que hacer en mi patio. Mi hermano vendra este fin de semana y necesito arar la tierra y nivelar para plantar algo de pasto. Quiero edificar un muro de contencion a lo largo de mi patio.

I hope those corrections above your post can help you.

Sincerely yours.

It seems that many words for anatomical parts are different for people and animals in Spanish; and that seems to be one thing that most dictionaries are bad at distinguishing.
