Question Direct Object Pronouns

Homework 1:
Translate sentence into English. Replace the underlined noun with the correct direct object pronoun.

Ex. Busco mis anteojos.
Eng. I'm looking for my eyeglasses.
Los busco. (I'm looking for them)


1. Juan corta el césped.
Eng. Juan mow the grass.
Juan lo corta. (Juan mow it)


2. Practicamos los deportes todos los días.
Eng. We practice sports everyday.
Los practicamos todos los días. (We practice them everyday)


3. ¿Necesitas una videocasetera?
Eng. Do you need a VCR?
¿La necesitas? (Do you need it?)


4. Limpio el espejo.
Eng. I clean the mirror.
Lo limpio. (I wash it)


5. Ellos lavan los platos.
Eng. They wash the dishes.
Los lavan. (They wash them)


6. Vemos las montañas.
Eng. We see the mountains.
Las vemos. (We see them)


Homework 2:
Do the same as above but ATTACH the pronouns.

Ex. Quiero comprar un impermeable.
Eng. I want to buy a raincoat.
Quiero comprarlo.


1. Voy a visitar los monumentos.
Eng. I am going to visit the monuments.
Voy a visitarlos.


2. ¿Piensas depositar el dinero?
Eng. Do you plan to deposit the money?
¿Piensas depositarlo?


3. Tenemos que enviar las cartas.
Eng. We have to send the letters.
Tenemos que enviarlas.


4. Deben escuchar la musica.
Eng. They should listen to music.
Deben escucharla.


5. Puedo leer los libros.
Eng. I can read the books.
Puedo leerlos.


Homework 3

1. --¿Cocinaste unas zanahorias ayer?
--No, pero voy a cocinarlas mañana.

2. --¿Lavaste los platos ayer?
--No, pero voy a enviarla mañana.

3. --¿Enviaste una carta ayer?
--No, pero voy a enviarla mañana.

4. --¿Viste las noticias ayer?
--No, pero voy a verlas mañana.

5. --¿Arreglaste el cuarto ayer?
--No, pero voy a arreglarlo mañana.

6. --¿Sacaste un libro ayer?
--No, pero voy a sacarlo mañana.

7. --¿Viste una película romántica ayer?
--No, pero voy a veerla mañana.

8. --¿Compraste los jeans ayer?
--No, pero voy a comprarlos mañana.

¡Eso! But there's one more mistake. Look closely at the verb in the sample sentence and then at yours in the answer.

Good job!

(It may just be a typo, but mows is the correct translation of corta. (Homework 1.1) And look carefully at the English translation of number 4.
