Hola, una pregunta pequeña ¿cómo se debo usar esa palabra misteriosa?

Ningún gatera había sido...
Ninguna gatera había sido...

¿Se debe añadir la "A"?

Debe ser:

No tengo coche.
No tengo ningún coche.
No tengo ninguno.

No tengo casa.
No tengo ninguna casa.
No tengo ninguna.

The word is shortened to ningún when it comes before a masculine noun. Otherwise it follows the regular rules of agreement (when the noun is feminine or when no noun is present).

I'd like to add that 'ninguno' is a pronoun (the same with alguno'):

Adjetivo indefinido + nombre:

No tengo ningún coche
Tengo algún dinero.
No tengo ninguna idea.
Tengo alguna idea.

Pronoun:

No tengo ninguno
No me confío en ninguna.

You can choose, apparently:

4. Cuando el sustantivo al que modifica ninguno va pospuesto al verbo, este va necesariamente en forma negativa: se dice Ningún amigo me ha acompañado, pero No me ha acompañado ningún amigo. En este último caso, el indefinido ninguno puede ir pospuesto al sustantivo y es sustituible por alguno: No me ha acompañado amigo ninguno, de igual sentido que No me ha acompañado amigo alguno.

Gracias Malila y Vikingo. Aprendí varias cosas hoy. El colective en español el singular. Indagaste bien Vikingo dónde en RAE de Dudas se puede encontrar la regla acerca ninguno/a-alguna/alguno.

The word ninguno means anything with the contrary of Alguno as Irmamar said before.

Sí, de acuerdo, pero existe un modo en que en se usa el doble negativo
en español. Lo vi escrito.
