Lo siento, is it correct phrase?

I couldn't find an article phrase with 'lo' except this. el, la, las, los are mentioned but i didn't come across 'lo'.
Is this correct? Could you please supplement with a phrase using 'lo' as an article?
Thanks.

In "lo siento", lo isn't an article.

I suggest you to look for the Spanish versions of these sentences:

"What is done, is done"
"Courtesy and valour are not mutually exclusive"

In 'lo siento', 'lo' is a direct object pronoun. It represents what you're sorry about.

As to 'lo' being an article, it is known as the neuter definite article and is used to change an adjective into an abstract noun, or it precedes a 'que' clause to make it an abstract.
