Bruto/burro refer to being stupid, dumb, etc "blockhead". Crudo in Central America is a hangover.

burro

yeap, burro/donkey is like the dumbest someone can be........... back in the days when my dad attended grammar school, a pusnishment (for those kids who had academic issues) would be to stand in a corner of the classroom and wear a black cone shaped hat that read the word "Burro." Can you imagine being the official "Burro" of the class???

But " Que burro eres!" "No seas burro!" "Pero que burro/a" is slang too....people use it all the time and it doesnt' mean the person you're talking to is a real "burro"...LOL...I use it all the time

"estar crudo" is hangover

Esto se llama a dunce cap en inglés y dunce es igual que burro aunque dumbass es más habitual y tiene un origen similar.

I always thought estar crudo was used to talk about food. It means something is raw.

Those are funny words!

I've always heard....

crudo = hangover

but I think it uses the same connotation as "raw". When you drink too much alcohol, your stomach becomes "raw" so I think that's where the word "crudo" came from.

As far as "guayabo" goes, well I am not going to share what I have heard about that word!!
