¿Estoy correcto?

To me, Favor de + infinitive is used for notices and signs, not in direct speech. (It might be spoken, but as a general announcement.)

In order of nice to harsh (imo):

I think some Latin American is very prim and proper about some things. I assume it comes from old colonial Spanish traditions. I have heard a mi casi no me gusta instead of a mi no me gusta.
I think it may have been too bold to directly express dislikes.

Very small but important corrections.

An a very important one: En España se usa por favor + imperativo.

That is a very important distinction, especially since the present subjunctive and the imperative look exactly the same except in the tu and vosotros affirmative command.

imperative mood:
affirmative command, negative command
tú: haz, no hagas
usted: haga, no haga
ustedes: hagan, no hagan
vosotros: haced, no hagáis
nosotros: hagamos, no hagamos

Only haz and haced differ from the subjunctive mood.
