Traducción de una canción

Ojalá que alguien pueda ayudarme con la traducción de esta canción. ¡He tratado hacerla sin ayuda! Cuando miré en el internet, los traducciones me parece... mal. Es como la inglés en los traducciones no es muy fluido, o quizás la persona quien tradujo la canción no fue un hablante nativo.

NOTA: Esta traducción no es para mi tarea o clases o nada como esas cosas. Es solo porque estoy interesado en esta traducción. De todos modos. Aquí está la canción, y mi traducción:

Entiendo que la canción es cerca de un pareja - la mujer está cantando cerca su novio y una mujer nueva. Entiendo que el coro es cerca de la mujer nueva. La cantante dice "boba niña", sí? Pero, por qué la niña se está llamando "boba"? Porque esa niña ahora tiene el novio de la cantante? Porque la cantante está... enojada a ella?

Si la cancíon fue escribir en inglés, creo que entenderíá la matiz en estas letras. En español es difícil solo entender las palabras, y entonces creo que la matiz se pierde en mí.

You don't have the best set of Spanish lyrics. It may help you out some if you had the correct lyrics to begin with.

Watch out! There are dozens of sites where the same mistakes have been perpetuated.
Busca (Look for) 'sino tu nuevo amor' instead of 'si no tu nuevo amor'. The translation of the correctly-spelled phrase is 'but (rather/instead, it's) your new love'.
Busca 'no la entiendo'. That's what was sung.
Busca 'no sé tú'. This is the correct phrase, pero es mucho más difícil de encontrar en internet (the translation of 'no sé tú' is "I don't know about you").
'Tú solo estás is often misspelled online, too. And there shouldn't be any punctuation between that and what follows - 'pendiente de ese trapo' (translated as "You're only thinking about that rag").


Las traducciones también me parecen una chapuza.

Lyric translation is one of the hardest things to do, mostly because there isn't any rhyme or reason to most songs. This one is no exception. Verbs are constantly changing tense and mood, provision needs to made for unspoken ideas, and it's peppered with English (to say nothing of el matiz and the slang).

quitarle algo = take something off of someone
te arrepentirás = you'll change your mind
