Amargosos

¿Quien gustan comer los amargosos? Who wants to eat Bitter Melons?
¿hacer amargosos crecer in tu pais? Do Bitter Melons grow in your country?

I had to look for a picture of them. I didn't know they existed. I have never seen them in Mexico... perhaps in some Asian restaurant.

Angelica,

Thanks for the corrections. I thought it grows in Mexico and in South American countries. I'm able to grow it here in zone 6 ( U. S. Climate zone). It's definitely not for everyone because it lives up to its name, bitter melon or amargoso.

It is very bitter. I put lots of salt to neutralize the bitter taste when I cook it. You had to have acquired the taste for it when you were very young to like it. I don't know that anyone can learn to like it once older.

Thank you for the picture, I didn't know anything about that fruit.

Really I guess you can make them in fruit juice.

Good food.

I never thought of amargosos in a fruit drink, you mean, to put it in a food blender/mixer and liquify it? It may be drinkable if lots of sugar and milk and or cream is added to it. Amargosos are supposed to have anti-cancer properties.Very creative thought, Crotalito

Really that is specially for the treating of the cancer.
Mm

I haven't idea about it.

Sorry.

I thought that the fruit was very ordinary as all the fruits known.

(You should taste it if you have a chance.
