nochebuena - feminine noun (la) - poinsettia. Look up nochebuena in the dictionary

Quiero comprar una nochebuena porque ya casi llega la Navidad.
I want to buy a poinsettia because it's almost Christmas.

Nochebuena it's "Christmas Eve".
In Spain, the poinsettia it's called "Flor de pascua", in France is "Étoile d'amour" and I thought in Mexico was "Flor de Nochebuena"

In Mexico, Nochebuena means Christmas Eve and poinsettia. There are a few different words for it in English too, such as the Star of Christmas.

I've never heard of the word poinsettia. I know it's a decoration, though. So this English word must be new to me

yes, noche buena in mexico is on december 25 and noche buena is a flower so beautiful

Yes, I agree with Lee ying, Mexico on the poinsettia is at December 25th, and the December 31th is the end of the year.

nochebuena (la flor) = poinsettia
Nochebuena (la noche antes del 25 de dic.) = Christmas Eve

there are some pictures of a noche buena (poinsettia) there are so beautiful, jessica here are some picture of it.
