I think you can use out of the blue, or as if by magic.

From A Spanish-English Dictionary (Granada University, Spain), 10.2

como por arte de magia

= magically, into thin air
Ex: Brain structures do not magically transfer information. Ex: Their debates have operated with a more fluid notion of power, which at times has become so fluid as to evaporate into thin air.

From Babylon Spanish-English
birlibirloque (m)

as by magic

From Gran Diccionario de la Lengua Española LAROUSSE
birlibirloque

locución adverbial Se usa para indicar que algo ha sucedido de forma inesperada en la expresión por arte de birlibirloque.

From Babylon Spanish-English
birlibirloque (m)

as by magic

Moliner también da:
por arte de birlibirloque inf. Sin que se sepa cómo ha ocurrido, o de manera inesperada. 1 Por arte de encantamiento, por arte de magia.

It was cloudy all day, but, as if by magic, the sun came out.

I was looking at the Monet painting, and then, out of the blue (or as if by magic), I saw the water lilies.

Robin, I heard "out of magic" in the sense of "running out of magic", (quedarse sin magia, agotar toda la magia que tenía).

Example,
... it seems Curry has run out of magic.

(Curry is an unbelievable basketball player..., in case you wonder)

You could also say,
Science arose out of magic, which it ultimately displaced.
La ciencia surgió a partir de la magia, que en última instancia reemplazó...

But, of course, that is a different meaning than "por arte de magia"...

¡Y que no se nos acabe la magia de las palabras!

Saludos cordiales.
