Su sus suyo suya

Su valentía nos sirve de ejemplo.
Their courage is an example to us. No es correcto. Verdad?
Debe ser:
Sus valentía nos sirve de ejemplo.
Their courage is an example to us.

Mi valentía nos sirve de ejemplo. My valor
Su valentía nos sirve de ejemplo. Your valor
Tu valentía nos sirve de ejemplo. Your valor
Sus valentía nos sirve de ejemplo. Their valor

His valor
Her valor
There valor (all male or mixed)
There valor (all female)
Your valor
Your valor
You all´s valor

Por favor, me corrige. Y como siempre, gracias. Bob Ritter, Pensacola, Florida USA

"Su valentía" es correcto, Bob. The possessives agree with the object possessed, not with the possessor.

(Each child will write one story.)
(Each child has to write more than one story.)

Your valor
La valentía de ti (We cannot say this; it's always tuyo/tuya. Also, "la valentía mía". The other pronouns use "de + pronoun" because there may be confusion with the person, but "yo" and "tú" cannot be confused for anyone else.) nos sirve de ejemplo. Your valor
You all´s valor

Por favor, me corrige (The imperative "corrígeme/corríjame/corríjanme" is better. You can use "me corrige, but inside question marks, so the request is formulated as a question, which is something many people do in colloquial speech).

Gracias Angelica;
"Su valentía" es correcto, Bob. The possessives agree with the object possessed, not with the possessor. I obviously didn´t know this. So is "Su valentía nos sirve de ejemplo." not ambiguous? Who is being brave here?

Yes Bob, it is a basic weakness of the language that must be understood in context, if not further clarification is required. La valentía de ellos is used if the meaning may be ambiguous.

I agree.

Without any context the "su" could mean "his/her/their/your".
This kind of equivocality in Spanish has been exploited in comic sketches hundreds of times.

- Ah, bueno. ¿Y cómo era su traje de baño?
- ¿El de Juan?
- No, el de su hermana.
- No, mi hermana no fue con nosotros.
