Dar un paso en falso
Como se traduciría en inglés " dar un paso en falso" EJ.
ANtes de decicirme a que novio echarme, debo reflexionar no quiero dar un paso en falso, es como decir to make the wrong choice I guess. Also used in murder context, the murderer no dió un paso en falso, the police will have difficulty in catching him. |

"slip up" would work a least in the second case.

Well in the first case, if it is about a social situation in which you don't want to make a blunder, perhaps:
faux pas Obviously not an English word in origen but French, however I think it' s used in England and America as well (at least I have heard it mentioned a couple of times on American tv as well If this is not the case, one of the native English speakers kindly rectify ) http://www.thefreedictionary.com/faux+pas Last edited by EmpanadaRica; July 30, 2009 at 10:59 PM. |
