To be excited
Hi all,
I am getting ready for a semester abroad in Spain and want to email my host-mom. What would be the correct way to say "i am excited" as in "i am excited to meet you"? A classmate of mine accidentally wrote an email to her host family and told them all how "excited"' she was... but.... the word she used apparently meant something inappropriate!.. and I want to make sure I don't make that mistake Thanks!!! |

'To be exited' is a verb that nearly all the time is used with a sexual undertone.

Not in American English.
That's why we Americans are caught off guard when we use the false friend in Spanish. |
