Spanish Ancestry Records
In 1777 a bunch of Minorcan's got on a crazy Scotsman's ship which landed them in the swamps of Florida. I'm trying to understand the language in Spanish records I'm finding. My cousins' family trees are no help, they add de to every one of their single surnames. You'll have to forgive them, they still live in those swamps.

Are you sure the records are in Spanish? If Minorcans are involved, they might be in Catalan.
