Obviously this is where the word carcamal comes from. This is a rather unkind word for an old man--like old geezer. Is there a female equivalent carcamala? I suspect not.

You use the same word for both a man or a woman, poli. The noun is always masculine, in either event.

some people make "carcamal" shorter, and say "carca" for style
"mi padre es un carca" Mi dad is an old fashioned/ My dad has the taste of an old geezer.
