"CBD is a natural chemical in marijuana that does not make you high."

What are different ways to say that a medicine or drug "makes you high"? For example, in english:

"CBD is a natural chemical in marijuana that does not make you high."

I would say this with "emborrachar" because I can't think of another way, but is there a better way:

"CBD es una sustancia natural en la marijuana que no te emborracha."

My wife might say "que no te prende" but I'm not sure that's correct.

i know there's lots of slang ways to say this, but I'm looking for a generic way that's universally understood.
