Place to listen & read - native spanish speakers
I just found this site today when searching for help to understand spoken Spanish better.
http://www.laits.utexas.edu/spe/beg01.html It gives examples of native speakers from different countries, covering topics for BEGINNERS - 'identifying basic objects', 'basic colors', 'introducing yourself to others', & more; for INTERMEDIATE - 'Telling time' 'favorite movies actors singers', & more; for ADVANCED - 'your most recent job', 'your experience in an accident' & more; and for SUPERIOR - 'Living in another time period' 'role play: phone appt. with doctor' & more And it allows you to follow along with text while you listen to the native speaker (which helps me ALOT, the visual learner that I am). I think it will help me get a natural feel of how sentences flow in simple topics. And it could quickly become a favorite for me! So glad I found it, and I hope it can help someone else out there too! |

Sorry, CrOtaLiTo, but I think that site is just for people who want help learning Spanish. I did a quick search and here are a few sites I found for you (and any others that would like help with English). I hope they help. If not, you can go to Google and search "ESL Listening Exercises" or "ESL Diaolgue Practice" or something similar and you should get numerous results. http://www.esl-lab.com/ http://www.learnenglishfeelgood.com/...ing-test1.html http://www.1-language.com/audiocourse/index.htm http://www.englishmedialab.com/listening.html http://eslus.com/esl/resource.htm |

OH MY GOODNESS!!! THIS IS WONDERFUL!!!!!!
Listening/understanding spoken Spanish has been my BIGGEST problem. When I was in Uruguay & Peru last month, it drove me CRAZY because people would say things to me and wait for me to respond, and they KNEW I SHOULD understand, but I didn't ... because I didn't understand what they were saying. But when they slowed down and explained each word to me, I realized that I SHOULD have known what they were saying. THIS IS GOING TO BE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO helpful. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :raiseth eroof:
