I don't believe anyone can fully master a language, but I guess that depends on various points of view.
When I was learning, I had the large advantage of living among native speakers of Spanish. For me, it took almost 18 months before I felt I was fully conversant. I thought in Spanish, dreamed in Spanish, communicated all day long in Spanish, and was even mistaken for a native speaker on a few occasions.
That was a long time ago, though. Your mileage may vary.

From my experience with formal language courses here, an internationally recognized advanced level is reached after 8 to 10 years of study, with 3 to 6 classroom hours per week. There is more to add, as each classroom hour corresponds at least with one hour of work at home.

Yes, then you have around of ten years studying English since then, I don't know what long time takes a person in finish to study a language for example when is this my case English.

How long time I need to practice my English for can reach a level respectable?
I have three years to listing, studying, reading, writing English, and I believe that I have reached a level considerable for me, at least already I able to speak with someone in English.

Just as an FYI.....

It is one thing to be able to speak to someone in English and be able to speak the language correctly.

I can speak Italian to someone but not necessarily speak it correctly.

What I meant by this was, how long did it take you to get to the level you are at? I know no one can truly ever master a language, even they're native. I know some people on here are extremely fluent in it though.

Well, I can say 10+ years but I also use both languages (English and Spanish) every day.....verbal and written. And you know what? I learn something new every single day.

You will get there at your own pace, depending on your interest.

Good Luck!

Malcolm Gladwell says you need 10.000 hours to master something (in 10 years, to practice four hours a day for 250 days a year)
