I'm sorry I really edited your post, Marsopa. But I think it will be clearer for this. I think you did hear such an expression. But it's not correct. I don't think it's got something to do with surprise. It's only a incorrect habit some people have.

I'll try to add something to what David wrote (it will be difficult)... after dinner . See you then!

And, I guess you can just say "¡Aproveche!"
but that seems more along the lines of 'take advantage of it' instead of 'enjoy your meal'. Let's see what others say.
