Caminant xino xano
No estic segur si ho escric be.
I l'etimologia? Gracies. ![]()

Catalán translates to Castillian fairly easily to me (much easier than Portuguese or Italian). I imagine that xano relates to the word sano.
I'm sorry you don't have the opportunity to use Catalan in California.

Well, I think you are right... "Piano, piano, si va lontano"... was the motto of the Italian Marco Polo, he went to China, he got the spaghetti, and came back xino, xano...
![]() ![]() ![]() But it is similar or at least related to the French saying, "petit à petit, l'oiseaux fait son nid" (or the Spanish "poco a poco hila la vieja el copo") Or even the verses by A. Machado, "despacito y buena letra, el hacer las cosas bien importa más que el hacerlas", or the old saw, "vísteme despacio, que tengo prisa". ![]()
