Pens and pencils
Hi. I am trying to translate things like pen, pencil, rubber and ruler. When I translate pen and back to English it comes up with chicken coop. WRONG type of pen.

My advice is that you use a good bilingual dictionary instead of a translator and that you check the meaning with the Spanish dictionary to make sure you found the right meaning.

Where a word has more than one meaning, it's best to supply more context.
By the way, if you hadn't grouped 'rubber' with 'pencil', an American English speaker would never guess that you meant 'eraser'. Context is key. |
