The verb 'tener' is used correctly. A letter may have errors. It may have sentiments, resentments, elations, congratulations and news. It can have an address.
A letter can also contain something, if you're looking for an alternate verb. You shouldn't use 'haber'. That is the helping verb used to form the compound tenses. For example, "I have seen", "I had gone", "I will have visited" and "I would have known." |

Could you also use "mostrar"? Like, "la carta muestra la direcciòn . . ."

@Caliber: Some people might even use "indica" too. And although the meaning would be clear, the sentence doesn't sound right to me.
Other common options may be: ·La dirección está en la carta. ·La carta incluye la dirección. ·La carta trae/lleva la dirección. ...
