Se ve a la legua = It sticks out (like a sore thumb) = It stands out
No hay tutía = There's no remedy = It's impossible = There's no way = You might as well give up
Estar como sonámbula = to be like a sleepwalker = to be half asleep

Some argue that there are two words, others say no.

I'll defer to you, of course, because you know more than some of my sources.
Most of the spellers on the Internet agree with you, by the way.

No hay tu tía comes from: no hay athutía (atutía was a remedy for everything), --< there's no remedy
see link, with other interesant "modismos" in "Historias con historia" ( a good historic blog)
http://historiasconhistoria.es/2008/...n-historia.php
But that was middle age, so the proper now is "no hay tu tía"

1 leguas = 20000 pies (spanish feet) = a 5572,7 metros
Se ve a la legua: You can see it from 5,5 km away --> it's very easy to see--> It stands out
saludos

Thanks, Sosia. The American English equivalent to 'you can see it from 5,5 km away' is 'you can see/smell/hear [pronoun] coming a mile away'.
