"Ja l'hem cagada"

ja hem begut oli: ja l'hem cagada.

Any clue on how this expression comes about?

Encontré en wordreference que cuando alguien "ha begut oli" (ha bebido aceite) es que la persona ha cometido un error fatal o caído en una situación que no tiene remedio. Dice que viene de una prueba que se hacía para ver si un occiso estaba ídem: al verterle aceite en la boca una persona viva lo escupiría. Se non è vero, è ben trovato.
