Telenovelas w/ both subtitles
Thank you for your time.
I'm currently watching El Rostro de la Venganza on telemundo.com. It has Spanish subtitles and they are very good. But it doesn't have English subtitles. So, although I can listen to the Spanish and follow along, I don't really understand what they are saying. I would like to watch a Telenova with English and Spanish subtitles (accurate ones). Does anyone know of where I can do that? Thank you |

That's weird. I used to learn Spanish the same way, primarily watching telenovelas on Telemundo. Almost every telenovela produced as of 2013 should include English subtitles.
You can try other soaps like "La reina del sur", "Dama y obrero", "Pasión Prohibida"... they should have English subtitles. Although I understand why you want to learn with English subtitles, I wouldn't recommend it. Stick with Spanish subtitles. I know it's hard at the beginning and frustrating but you learn Spanish much quicker that way. When I started to watch Spanish telenovelas, I used to pause every dialog to understand at least what the speaker wants to say. It is certainly no fun but you'll eventually get past it. Have fun.

I agree. Learning with only Spanish subtitles is probably better.
I tried "Dama y obrero" but it didn't have English subtitles. Only Spanish. |
