Pantalla

This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for July 23, 2008

pantalla - feminine noun (la) - screen. Look up pantalla in the dictionary

¿Qué tan difícil sería reparar una pantalla de plasma?
How hard would it be to fix a plasma screen?

You've got it: a windbreak, a soundbreak, a sightbreak... Is there any English word for all of these?

A row of trees can serve as:
a windbreak (a snow fence),
a sound barrier,
a sight barrier (a screen),
a privacy hedge (think a row of conifers),
and a boundary line
