Resident
How would you translate the following.........
I understand and agree that at times health-care services may be delivered by students and resident physicians under the supervision....... I want the best possible translation for resident physicians..... ¿¿Médicos en residencia??? No me suena......

On a similar note, I have heard pasantes used to describe medical students working in hospitals, which I think is similar to internship or residency in the US.

residente ó médico residente
You can say doctor residente, but all "médicos" are "doctors" saludos

In Spain there is something called MIR (Medico interno Residente) Which (as to what I know) is a one-year practicum after graduating.

Pannet hopper, you have said MIR, in my country simply it's named Practicante or Pasante, eso es para realizar su tesis.

It's more as a profesional licensing process, maybe a thesis involved, but mostly it is practicum time, it takes two years. Say, the guys at an ICU are usually MIR first or second year. We use pasante more often with a notary public or a lawyer.
