'breathless talk of late'

There has been much 'breathless talk of late' about all the varied mysteries of human existence that have been or soon wil be solved by neuroscience.

I think the sense of breathless is more this one:
breathless with

They waited, breathless with anticipation.
2. written excited:
His first novel drew breathless superlatives from critics.

So, 'breathless talk of late', seems more like "de lo que se habla últimamente con tono entusiasta/emocionado" or something on that line... (depending on the whole context...) But I'd go more in that direction.

Emocionado, lo descarto come 'ansia'.

Muchas gracias.
