Dormir a los niños

Meter a los niños en la cama
To put children to bed

I don´t know how to say dormir a los niños: I get them to sleep, maybe?

I'd say "get them to go to sleep."

I'd say "put the children to bed". The getting the children to go to sleep is impossible, at least in my experience.
