Which sentence makes more sense?

Hola! I'm new here, and also new to learning Spanish! I was trying to come up with a sentence about how I want to go surfing/would like to go surfing in the summer. Which sentence makes more sense?

En el verano quiero ir a surfear en Hawaii.
En el verano voy a hacer surfeo en Hawaii.

Gracias.

Ambas estarían bien. Creo que lo más idiomático sería:

En verano quiero ir a surfear en Hawaii.

Un saludo.
