correr un tupido velo = draw a veil over something
draw a thick veil over something draw a concrete veil over something Also see 'keep something under raps', 'sweep something under the rug' and 'cloud over the fact'. These all can be used when you want to hide the fact that you've done something that could be embarrassing if discovered. |
