tounge tied
I just noticed the newest member here on the forums is called tounge tied, and I was wondering how to say it in Spanish.

I believe 'tongue-tied', not quite the name of the newest member, is said 'lengua trabada'. Compare with 'un trabalenguas', a tongue-twister, and 'trabar la lengua', the act of being tongue-tied.

I think this came from an ancient medieval practice of actually tying people's tongues so they couldn't talk.
