Muy ocupada......
Yesterday I wrote the following in an email: "Esta semana fue muy ocupada para mi."
Now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder if this sentence doesn't actually work the way I've written it. Can a "week" be "busy", or should I have reworded it to say that "I" have been "busy"? Should it have been something like this? "Esta semana, yo estaba muy ocupada." ???

Thanks, Hernan - that's helpful. And, it's good to know that I didn't say something that would have sounded completely ridiculous to my Spanish-speaking friend!

Now, that doesn't mean that one will not raise some laughters on the way, but if you inquire about the cause of laughter, most likely you will end up laughing at yourself too, and it won't be detrimental to you, on the contrary. |

Nope. The week has ended, so the preterite is used. The imperfect indicates ongoing, habitual, or repeated action.

Is that not spelled incorrectly? (I feel bad asking, since you are a native speaker)
