When referring to the shirts the jockeys wear...
How do you call these in Spanish?
Oxford bilingual gives
3 silks pl (Equ) colores mpl (de la cuadra)
And I can say in Spanish "defiendo mis colores" (no just in an equestrian context or register) but is there another way to just refer to the "shirt" or "blouse + cap"?
I.e. Random House gives, 6. silks, the blouse and peaked cap, considered together, worn by a jockey or sulky driver in a race. (The blue word is mine)
