I came across this issue in my book and don't know if I have it right - the question confused me.
Translate the following sentence:
He loves cats, but his child is afraid of them.
Translation should read as:
Cats are enchanting to him, but his child is afraid to them.
This is what I got:
El le encantan los gatos, pero su niño le tiene miedo a ellos.
Am I close? Can anyone please check my translation? :(
Thank you in advance!

You're close, but there are a couple of issues. I have underlined the words that you need to pay attention to.
Can you figure out why they are wrong, and what you can do to correct them? One clue: indirect objects.

First part, the stress mark is OK but you better say "le encantan los gatos" because you forgot a preposition there.
Second part, discard what led you to write that phrase, go back to what wrholt underlined and think it over, because you almost had it.
