A spelling bee is a spelling competition, which comes across to someone British as really weird, because we have nothing like it. Anyway, here (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-14087911) is a report that they are now starting one for Spanish, in the U.S.

Much easier than English. :D:D:D

True that!
However, I have seen a NUMBER of misspelled Spanish words.

For some practice, beginners may want to correct these misspelled words that I've seen:
serbisio
asiendo
llendo
aonde
sapato
isiste
ke

really? you British don't have spelling bees?Nope, I had to look the word bee up - I've only seen it in connection with the American spelling bee. I've never heard of a spelling competition in the UK.

How difficult! "Otorrinolaringólogo" and "sanctasanctórum"! They're just spelled the same way they are pronounced. Duck soup, piece of cake and the whole menu.
