Preguntón

I'm an inquisitive person, I'm a busybody. These two adjectives are pointed out by Tomísimo dictionary as translations of preguntón. As I have never used or heard of these English terms, I can't be sure how to use them. In Spanish preguntón hasn't got a very positive connotation. It's not the same as inquisitivo, which may be less colloquial but also more positive.

Una persona inquisitiva puede ser alguien que hace preguntas fundadas, que está detrás del conocimiento (moleste o no).
Un preguntón o una preguntona es quien se mete donde no le llaman con preguntas que no debería haber hecho.
Can anyone give me some examples of the use of inquisitive / busybody?

Inquisitive is usually positive. Example: I'm iquisitive. I want to know the
uses of vaya in Spanish.

When a person is inquisitive about another person's personal life, they
become busybodies(the noun) or nosey (an adjective discribing a person who likes to stick their nose in other people's business)

In English busybody has a negative connotation and being inquisitive has a positive connotation. In Spain, perhaps, un preguntón is positive, but in my neck of the woods, a preguntón is perceived as an entrometido/a or a metiche.

She's a very inquisitive person. Whenever she runs into something she doesn't know, she goes to the library and researches it.
That lady's a busybody. All she does is sit around and gossip with her friends.

Examples of translating preguntón.

¿por qué estás de preguntón?
You're sure full of questions-- aren't you?
Why are you being so nosey?
Why are you asking so many questions?

I would say ¿Por qué estás tan preguntón? I suppose what you wrote is the common way to say this in Mexico.

You are right if you think un preguntón has not a very positive connotation in Spain.
