Quiero traducir esta frase á español, por favor puede chequearlo:

When I was in Argentina I wanted to see Aconcagua but was not able to see it because the day I went there it was very cloudy

Cuando estaba en la Argentina quería ver la Aconcagua pero no podía verlo porque el dia que me fue allí era muy nublado

Quiero traducir esta frase a español. Por favor, ¿pueden chequearla? (The items marked here are corrections. Don't forget the opening interrogation mark and watch agreement.)

When I was in Argentina I wanted to see Aconcagua but was not able to see it because the day I went there it was very cloudy.

Cuando (may need a subject pronoun here to avoid ambiguity) estaba en la Argentina quería ver la (not needed) Aconcagua pero no podía verlo (watch agreement) porque (missing a preposition here) el dia que me fue (wrong person)allí ('para allá' sounds better to my ears) era muy nublado.I marked what was wrong above and gave some idea as to why.

I moved your thread to the appropriate for practicing what you're learning.

la(not needed) Aconcagua

Mountains have articles in Spanish.

El Everest, los Pirineos, los Andes...

I would say "el Aconcagua". However, I wouldn't be surprised if there is some regional variation in the use of "el/la".

Google:
"El Aconcagua": 1,070,000 resultados
"La Aconcagua": 6,150 resultados

The correct one is "el Aconcagua"
