En el sentido de una salida a la desesperación?

I'd think "way out", as in a "solution".
En este asunto no hay salida = There is no way out of this.
Tengo que encontrar una salida a mi desesperación = I need to find a way out to/of my desperation...

(@natives = "to my desperation" or "of my desperation"?)

No voy a salirte con una salida... (a witty remark) (Ocurrencia)
Tampoco voy a hacer una salida de tono (inappropiate remark)...

In this context "out of" is correct: you are talking about (figurative) motion AWAY FROM someplace/something (desperation). "Out to" would be appropriate for motion TOWARD someplace or something.
