It is sometimes said as All throughout (her) life, but maybe the All is redundant.

Well, in a monolingual dictionary both forms are listed. And it says it´s BE.
Check Oxford Advanced learner´s Dictionary.

Check Oxford Advanced learner´s Dictionary.I don't have to, I don't consider myself as a learner. :D
I have heard ´take´, yes. But the BNC has
make a decision: 249 hits
take a decision: 27
So you must make the decision yourself.

I will take your decision and make it the rule.
The fact is that to take a decision and to make a decision have two different meanings. To take a person's decision is to accept their decision. It is a much less commonly used term which explains Perikles' meager 27 hits.
