Both are OK, though "que estudio español" is better than "que aprendo español", no matter it is a course or self-taught.

[language names and demonyms without capital letters in Spanish]
[tú = you / tu = your]

Welcome to the forums, Adam!

In addition to the corrections already given, which I have repeated below, there are others.
Me gustaría saber cuál es mejor:

Hace dos meses que estudio español.

o

He estado estudiando español durante dos meses.

¡Gracias por tu ayuda!

Adam
I corrected your thread title. :)

Gracias!

Thanks for the help guys, I've only really been learning about 6 weeks! Just starting to get to the 'OMG how complicated is this going to be?' stage!

Your answers raise a couple of new questions!

Firstly; para/por - both meaning for - is there a specific rule for which to use?

Second; I think I now understand the difference between tu and tú - but how does one tell in spoken conversation? Just through context?

Thanks again - I guess I'm going to be a regular around here!

There's also a thread here in our forums about por/para (http://forums.tomisimo.org/showthread.php?t=4438). It's the first sticky thread in the 'Grammar' forum. (The second sticky thread should also be read. ;))

Context is key when it comes to recognizing the difference between the homonyms tú and tu. (There are many more.)

Ah thanks for the very helpful thread and about.com site. I'm starting to see what I am letting myself in for :)

I've only found this site today, so I'll have a good read around now before I ask too many dumb questions!

Thanks again
Adam
