Hola a todos! :D Me llamo Amy y soy inglesa. :) Tengo veintiocho años y el mes pasado, empiezo aprender español, por tanto no lo hablo muy bien! Sé hablar algo de italiano - espero que ayudara! ("I hope that it will help"? No lo sé! :p)
That's about the limit of my poor Spanish. You might be wondering about the title of my post.. put simply, it's what my mother ordered to drink in Barcelona. She forgot that she wasn't in France (café au lait). :D
Pues, hasta luego! :)

Lo bueno es que te fijaste del error sin que otra persona te lo señalara.

Sé hablar algo de italiano - espero que ayudara! ("I hope that it will help"? No lo sé! :p)
If your Italian includes knowledge of the subjunctive mood, you've just used the imperfect subjunctive when you really needed the present subjunctive. However, I suspect you intended to say ayudará (future indicative). If you don't already know what a subjunctive is, best not to worry about it for a couple of years.
PD In Barcelona the thing to ask for is cafè amb llet.

Sí, i també un "carajillo d'Aromes de Montserrat"... (but these are highly ethylic!)
"Un café con la leche fría" or "Un café amb la llet freda" will also serve... (for me)
(N.B. I am/we are using Spanish and Catalonian...)

Ethylic may be technically correct, but in normal usage the translation of etílico is alcoholic.

Thank you, Pjt33!
(You know, my usual moonshine!) (in both senses of the word) ;) :D

I'm sorry for not replying anymore, I was no longer getting notifications and therefore thought there was nothing to reply to! :p
Thank you for your sentiments, JPablo and Elaina. :) And thank you for your advice, pjt33! I'm only vaguely familiar with subjunctive at the moment, so that sentence was a guess! I expect to cover it fairly soon in Italian... I was hoping it would carry over like a lot of the other verb rules do. :o Honestly, I don't know much about subjunctive other than the fact it expresses hopes and wishes...
