More specifically, only for nurses,
Nursing students have ward experience in the hospital twice a week.
It's something different in the USA :thinking:

maybe internship but I guess it´s a period of a year or more and never during the scholastic year.

In the medical field or in other fields? In the medical field, internship in for advanced students who gain hands-on experience in treating patients under the supervision of a medical doctor.
In other fields it means unpaid work in order to gain experience in any given field.
